David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
