An American-Palestinian teenager after completing nine months in Israeli detention absent formal charges gained freedom.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested in February throughout the West Bank territory, during a family visit from his Florida home under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.

United States authorities applauded the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.

According to them, he appears showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues contracted in captivity.

Through an official statement, family spokesperson conveyed their "immense relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "living a horrific and endless nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Right now, we are focused on getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention he needs after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and brutal treatment for months."

The state department said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"US government authorities has no higher priority to ensuring the safety of US citizens"," it added.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to secure his release.

The father, with four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, had earlier stated his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.

He stayed lacking indictment in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.

It is also home to adult prisoners, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations and homicide.

There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.

Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, report instances of abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating for justice for his cousin family member Sayfollah.

The dual national youth according to health authorities was beaten to death by radical settlers following tensions last July.

During that period, defense forces stated authorities were looking into reports a Palestinian civilian had died.

The two cousins collaborated in the family ice cream shop based in Florida.

No one has been charged for the cousin's murder.

"We demand the American government to protect our families," Mr Kadur said.
